Mid-century homes, modern updates
Much of Prairie Village was built after World War II, and many of those original ranches and Cape Cods are still standing, often updated, expanded, or in the middle of a remodel. That gives Prairie Village junk removal its own pattern. We see old kitchen appliances replaced during a renovation, furniture that no longer fits a new floor plan, and basements and attics cleared before a sale. With Corinth Square and the Prairie Village Shopping Center nearby, there are also small businesses with storage rooms to empty.

Smaller garages and tight stairways
Older homes were built for smaller furniture. Cape Cod stairways can be steep and narrow, basement doors can be tight, and many garages fit one car at most. If a large item went in before a remodel or was carried up in pieces, tell us. A photo of the narrowest point on the path out, whether that's a stair turn, a hallway, or a basement door, helps us plan before pickup day.
Junk removal during a remodel
If you're working with a contractor, let us know what stage the project is in and what is coming out: cabinets, a vanity, old appliances, or leftover furniture. Construction debris such as drywall, tile, or concrete can be very different from household junk, so list it separately so we can confirm whether it can be included. Coordinate the pickup with your contractor's schedule so the items are ready and the path is clear.
Prairie Village junk removal questions
Can you remove old appliances during a kitchen remodel?
Yes. Tell us which appliances are coming out, whether they are already disconnected, and where they will be on pickup day.
My stairs are narrow. Can you still take a mattress or dresser?
Usually. Send the item sizes and a photo of the stairway. Dressers with drawers removed and mattresses that bend are often easier than they look.
Do you take construction debris?
It depends on the material and amount. List it separately from household items so we can tell you what can be included.
